RF Lab Manager

Position:

Resonant Inc. seeks a Member of Technical Staff to join our product development team. The successful candidate will work closely with a tightly-knit team of electrical engineers and physicists to support development of novel RF (Radio Frequency) filters for high-volume production. This is an excellent opportunity to become a key contributor to our dynamic organization and leverage your experience to solve high value problems for mobile devices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of basic RF/Microwave measurements and test equipment (e.g. signal generator, power meter, VNA, spectrum analyzer)
  • 3-10 years of experience making accurate RF/Microwave measurements
  • Ability to effectively manage daily lab activities, equipment maintenance and calibration.
  • Strong written and verbal English skills to support data analysis
  • Ability to work well in a small group environment
  • Willingness to jump in and take on new tasks to support the team

Responsibilities:

  • Set up test stations and perform or supervise testing
  • Coordinate test equipment maintenance and calibration
  • Review customer test requirements and generate acceptance test plans
  • Coordinate test fixture design and fabrication
  • Produce RF engineering reports to support team members
  • Coordinate outside processing of test samples
  • Supervise lab test personnel

Desired skills:

  • Ability to recognize and adapt planning to changing priorities
  • Experience with RF wafer level testing
  • Experience with RF reliability and accelerated life testing
  • Familiarity with automation and control software (LabVIEW)

Software Quality Assurance/Software Development Engineer in Test (SQA/SDET)

Position:

Resonant Inc. seeks a Member of Technical Staff to join our product development team. The successful candidate will work closely with a tightly-knit team of electrical and software engineers and physicists to develop automated and semi-automated tests for advanced design tools for novel RF (Radio Frequency) filters for high-volume production. This is an excellent opportunity to become a key contributor to our dynamic organization and leverage your experience to solve high value problems for mobile devices.

Required Qualifications:

  • BS or MS in Engineering or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience with software quality assurance, preferably as a SDET or developer working with test automation
  • Strong proficiency in software quality assurance practices and methodologies
  • Experience designing, implementing and documenting software test plans using one or more test automation frameworks.
  • Strong written and verbal English skills to support complex analysis
  • Ability to program effectively in MATLAB and C/C++
  • Ability to work well in a small group environment
  • Willingness to jump in and take on new tasks to support the team

Responsibilities:

  • Develop testing strategies for proprietary Radio Frequency (RF) circuit and physical modeling design tools and custom software packages to design and analyze analog RF filters, including documentation thereof

Desired skills:

  • Design and development experience with engineering software design tools
  • Proficiency working in both Linux and Microsoft Windows environments
  • Familiarity with Python, Perl, Ruby, or other scripting language(s)
  • Familiarity with version control systems e.g. git, SVN, CVS
  • Familiarity with Jira or other similar issue and project tracking systems
  • Familiarity with SQL and databases
  • Familiarity with working in Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, EFS, …)
  • Strong product experience from inception to customer delivery
  • Experience with RF products and systems desirable

Senior RF / Analog Electrical Engineer

Position:

Resonant Inc. seeks a Member of Technical Staff to join our product development team. This is an excellent opportunity to become a key contributor to our dynamic organization and leverage your experience to solve high value problems for mobile devices.

Required Qualifications:

  • MSEE or PhD in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and 10 years of related experience
  • Design and development experience with RF products and components
  • Demonstrated track record of successful product transition from design to high volume production
  • Experience with analog circuit design
  • Strong written and verbal English skills to support complex analysis
  • Ability to work well in a small group environment
  • Willingness to jump in and take on new tasks to support the team

Responsibilities:

  • Use commercial Radio Frequency (RF) circuit and physical modeling tools including MATLAB, ADS, and Sonnet, as well as custom software packages to design and analyze analog RF filters
  • Assist RF measurement analysis by generating test plans and analyzing results
  • Produce RF engineering reports to support team members
  • Assist in software tool development efforts

Desired skills:

  • Design and development experience with RF systems
  • Filter design experience, especially Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) or Bulk Acoustic Wave (BAW) filters
  • Strong product experience from inception to customer delivery
  • Familiarity with finite element analysis techniques and software tools
  • Ability to program effectively in MATLAB
  • Experience with RF products and systems
  • Familiarity with basic RF/Microwave measurements and test equipment (e.g. signal generator, power meter, VNA, spectrum analyzer)
  • Experience with AutoCAD, schematic capture and/or PCB layout tools

  • Willingness to jump in and take on new tasks to support the team 

Responsibilities:

  • Use commercial circuit analysis and physical modeling tools as well as custom software packages to design and analyze RF filters.
  • Assist RF measurement analysis by generating test plans and analyzing results
  • Produce RF engineering reports to support team members
  • Assist in software tool development efforts

Desired skills:

  • Ability to program effectively in MATLAB
  • Familiarity with basic RF/Microwave measurements and test equipment (e.g. signal generator, power meter, VNA, spectrum analyzer) 
  • Experience with circuit simulation software (ADS)
  • Experience with EM modeling software (Sonnet, Momentum)
